Neatened up the garden. Picked up a lot of bits of suff everywhere. Big downside of the experimentation with hydroponics is: PLASTICS, PLASTIC EVERYWHERE. (the reason for the attempt is 1. better yields with a fraction of the water 2. gopher proof 3. attempt to try to make the garden less subject to wild weather extremes. and 4. learning something new).

Although it eliminates the issues I had with gophers, it does not fix the issues with squirrels and rats. Productivity on tomatoes is superior, for sure. (or was, last year -- this year's productivity was marred by weather and squirrels) #gardening
