   But Nostr is VC funded too. Jack Dorsey was originally involved with both BlueSky and Nostr, and is no longer involved with BlueSky, but is involved with Nostr. So your VC free angle makes no sense.

     Maybe you never build on top of a social network and then lost all that effort when it went to shit?

     We the people need to be empowered.
     No more overlords to monetize our activities.

     Bluesky is a step backwards.
     They give you candies, but sugar is bad.

     Nostr is a step forward.
     Peer to peer would bring us even further...
     Still, mastodon is great and at least somwhat properly federated 🙂
