     During the first episodes I was like, “Let David Lynch cook.” Well, he sure is cooking — one of those meals that takes 20+ hours to cook.

     And the second time around, I was intently studying practically every moment.

     It’s not 18 hours of perfection but I love it nonetheless.

     My spouse and I have been finding it very interesting that you can't exactly pinpoint when everything's taking place.

     Some wikis say it's late 2016, but 25 years since Laura Palmer's murder would be 2014 (Laura died in 1989). Tech and cars sometimes give off a 2000s vibe (some people are seen using BlackBerry phones), others push you firmly to the 2010s (iPads, iPhones). We're speculating they're being ambiguous on purpose as a way to distance the viewer from the present.
