    @neil @cstross : except a few websites, I’m doing the same with:

    Neovim for writing/notes
    Neomutt for email
    Offpunk for browsing/sorting ressources
    Toot for Mastodon

    (except when I’m sipping tea where I’m in Firefox, like right now).

    Offpunk, git, msmtp and offlineimap also allows me to work fully offline and only synchronize periodically through a "do_the_internet.sh" script.

    See:

      @cstross @vassilis @neil : it is a thread about "terminal interfaces", Offpunk is a terminal browser.

      @ploum @vassilis @neil Congratulations! An entire thread about a piece of software that NOWHERE mentions what it is, what it runs on, or why it might be useful (me: Mac user here, 100% workflow dependent on Scrivener).

      @ploum @vassilis @neil Yes (my leading question wrt. terminal interfaces is tmux or byobu?), the point is, looking at the git page? NOTHING SAYING IT'S A BROWSER INTERFACE.

      Git project documentation is a smoking hole in the bottom of the Marianas trench these days. "See the 50 minute tutorial on my YouTube channel!" is by no means the worst of it.

      (Ignore me, I'm just a former technical author shrieking in hell.)

      @cstross @vassilis @neil : You are perfectly right to complain when something is not clear.

      But is this link answering the question as it should? Do you have any remark on how it could be improved?

      @ploum @vassilis @neil Badly designed! Doesn't even mention web or html until the fifth paragraph, buries it under a mound of less-relevant protocols (eg. gopher). Hint: "browser" is not synonymous with "web browser". Lead with that!

      @cstross @vassilis @neil : added "web" in front of broswer to make it clearer. Thanks for the feedback!

      @ploum @vassilis @neil Great! I wish I had the energy to set up a general Linux/software libre documentation project run to professional standards, but I'm about 30 years too old and burned out to start now …

      @cstross @vassilis @neil : I had lot of energy to write documentation in my 20’s and 30’s but it seems that tank has depleted as, I soon as I start to write, it turns into fiction ;-)
