   I love all the virology posts and I love the science and I love knowing what's going on with the virus but is there a single piece of this information we are acting on other than we use the sequences to make vaccines?

   Actually asking. I can't think of any.

     @jmcrookston recently chatting with a hospitalist who was noting the incredible rise of kids and young adults with diabetes and cardiac issues needing tests and mediated therapies, and thought I was joking mentioning Covid - we are 5+ years into this and our medical community is in complete, deliberate denial and ignorance

     Oh no! Bird flu has an ambiguous residue at the spot where it might acclimatize to binding in humans. This is super worrying.

     Me, while looking around at humanity doing nothing but occasionally telling people to not go near dead birds and collecting more viral sequences:
