sudo sysctl debug.lowpri_throttle_enabled=0
this disables IO throttling for anything, wonder if the process you're running has a lower priority internally

@sun @feld this is why the apps all comes in zipped files or DMG mountable disks
The apps are basically all folders with thousands of tiny files and this is torture to bulk transfer anything
