      「ユーザーの9割はROM専」という状況は世界中のオンラインコミュニティで昔から発生している
      オンライン掲示板やDiscordなどのオンラインコミュニティに参加しつつ投稿しないユーザーは一般的な存在で、日本ではROM専などと呼ばれています。コミュニティによってはROM専がユーザーの大部分を占めることも珍しくありません。この「オンラインコミュニティに参加しつ投稿しないユーザーが大部分を占める」という状況は世界中のオンラインコミュニティで発生しているようで、UX研究の第一人者であるヤコブ・ニールセン氏も2006年にROM専の割合やユーザーに発言を促す方法について論じていました。
