   How hard would it be to design a nuke? Simulatioms should be affordable nowadays and i think all the math required should be avaiable

     @snacks this is like asking how hard it'd be to design a car. The technology for the car was invented over a century ago, and has changed very little in basic principle, and so has the technology for nukes. iirc Trinity basically worked by exploding a bunch of explosive pieces around the core and compressing it until it's supercritical

     @snacks not hard, it is known. people online just dont like talking about it cuz information is intentionally obscured but people have made nuclear reactors and a nuclear bomb is entirely possible. The only hard part is acquiring enough uranium and enriching it, or enough uranium to create enough plutonium

     @snacks also iirc some bombs work by simply shooting one core to another and when they merge they explode or something
