I don’t begrudge clever people their financial successes, nor their simple pleasures, but their casual cluelessness sometimes leaves me shaking my head. (I still pray that the advance guard of the coming apocalypse runs out of lampposts and rope before they get to her.)

     @Canevecchio @julieofthespirits I mean she's a nazi. She hangs out with nazis, makes nazi arguments, courts nazi donations. She's a fascist who cosplays as a liberal. I don't think JotS was saying she's a good person - just that she's in the political consultant class and happy to profit off of fascists winning.

     @Canevecchio @julieofthespirits My general position is that when folks disseminate nazi propaganda, work to normalize nazis, and trash the left for donations from nazis. They're nazis. It literally doesn't matter to me why they do what they do; fascism is about what you do, not what you feel or your motivations for doing it.

     I dunno, nor do I particularly care, what your definition is and I'm gonna check out of this conversation now. Good day.

     @AnarchoNinaWrites @julieofthespirits I suspect she wouldn’t recognize a Nazi if it bit her in the rump. She reminds me more of the gluttonous Roman at the banquet table in Fellini’s “Satyricon,” who whispers in an aside while listening to a declamation of an Aeschylus play, “I love to hear the sound of Greek while I’m eating.”
