   No judgement from me, but you can do less damage with a little consideration

   Planet is dying if you individually buy them or not; direct action, not purchases will avoid catastrophe

   Please be aware, a re-chargeable Lithium Ion battery is in each, a big part of the price

   Ideally recycle them please, typically any grocery store has a battery recycle drop-off

   Its a workers safety issue since they explode in garbage trucks

     I haven't thrown any away yet. A little steam and there always seems to be a smidge left. I'm poor and this is medicine, I am way more resourceful than I would like to be...

     @Langhamian Really, I don't, for many reasons but to me the most important is:

     I feel communicating science concepts is already a difficult task

     My communication skills are already poor.

     Soo, putting up walls, or pretending I'm somehow morally superior (I'm certainly not), would just be serving my ego-- but I'm trying to actively challenge myself to become a better communicator of simple to complex science concepts.

     I appreciate you taking the time to consider my perspective

     @kevin That is positive, I can't say why they were popular but I suspect the price of entry was less than committing to the non-disposable kit; one of the many ways poor people end up paying more for practically everything.

     I suspect many people don't even think about the batteries, my hope is to simply make people aware of the lithium.

     One reason is I talk about specifically Lithium a lot

     And I like to approach the same science topic from different angles to try out different metaphors

     @ekis I'm in an illegal state, so it's hemp products for me. Vendors don't really stock reusables anymore because of the popularity of disposables.
