My entire childhood my parents (and relatives) kept hammering the value of education. They even wanted me to study hard to be a doctor.

It’s funny then that as my parent age, they’ve grown wary of doctors and don’t believe in basic science.

Encourage your kid to become a doctor but don’t take doctor’s advice when you get sick or hurt.
