   The number one thing I miss from elementary OS since switching to Fedora and Endless OS: case-insensitive bash completion. I know I can just configure it myself, but… can we just do that by default, please? 🥺

   Edit: yes, I’ve used fish, zsh, etc.—but they were never compelling enough to me to switch, especially when I can just add one line to my bash profile to get case-insensitive tab completion. I’m not looking for recommendations; I’m talking about defaults.

     @cassidy I had no idea that case-insensitive bash completion was even an option.

     Years ago, I renamed all my default /home/<username>/ directories to lower case because I always hit a wall with autocompletion of paths with upper case like the default "Download, Public, Pictures, Documents" and that made me change my default ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs with my lower case "download, public, pictures, documents" etc.

     If you publish a change proposal, tell them about this maybe.

     Also, for someone unfamiliar with the Fedora change proposal processes… how would I go about recommending something like this? It’s a one-line change in the default profile, but I imagine people will have Opinions™ about it.

     Do I have to go through like a whole technical change proposal process or something?
