@qed "Unix philosophy" doesn't really exist, or has ever existed. Emacs and Lisp Machines are examples of how it should be done -- they are modular, and built of simple functions.

@philip @etam Maybe the Unix philosophy was not great at the time emacs was born. Lisp machines were far superior in many regards, and #emacs is an extensible #lisp system under a text editor disguise.

Vim: regex integration, standardized, versatile, extensible.
