You said "the Cheneys love me, the genocide ain't stopping, we're gonna pass fascist immigration laws and we love cops" which is the EXACT FUCKING OPPOSITE of how Biden got 81M votes last time.

For clarity, Harris gave up 312 EC votes against Trump. I cannot prove a counterfactual because Biden didn't actually FINISH his campaign, but by EVERY AVAILABLE metric, the White Irish Guy who won 81M votes on a platform significantly left of the platform both Biden and Harris ran on in 2024 in two separate campaigns, would have VASTLY UNDERPERFORMED Harris in 2024.
If it was sexism and racism that would NOT BE THE CASE. Newsflash; sexists and racists were ALREADY voting for Trump BOTH times

So the answer to "why" cannot be boiled down to sexism and racism b/c EVERY AVAILABLE PIECE OF DATA says it was NOT the deciding factor. If you were right Biden outperforms Harris cause he's a white dude, and Trump gets more votes because ppl want to vote AGAINST the Black woman. That DIDN'T HAPPEN. Trump got 74 and 75M in 2020 and 2024

@seb321 My problem with the theory that it was a done deal is that Joe Biden in 2020 ran on a platform far left of who he had ever been in political power. The guy who passed the crime bill, vociferously supported Iraq, loves cops, hugs segregationist Republicans, and hates migrants, ran on ending the wars, reigning in police violence, dismantling the migrant jails, and punishing nazis and won.
I can't prove a counterfactual, but I think Harris could have done the same MORE credibly than Biden

@AnarchoNinaWrites What I wonder is if Harris could ever have distanced herself enough from the previous 4 years. Maybe the result was baked in by the anger and despair over such an ineffectual presidency which blew so many opportunities to make a stand against fascism, genocide, or even just try to make people’s lives a bit more pleasant.
