Whose heard of boids?
Its an early (1986) technology to be branded as "AI", which has had huge influence over later hypecycles like object-oriented programming & self-driving cars.
It shows that with only a handful of rules & without any central coordination we can obtain fancy patterns! Resembling flocks of birds or schools of fish!
