    What does resistance look like?

We are all sitting here feeling like we don't know what to do or how to do it, myself included, but remember lots of things count.

Helping people who might need them get passports.

    Providing space to organize.

Bringing food to people who might need it.

Getting involved with your local government and school boards.

    Calling people who need support.

    Sharing humor and life stories.

Making sure the most vulnerable people are staying warm this winter.

If you have money, there are plenty of people and organizations who could use help, just be discerning.

Helping women get access to Healthcare.

Shelter for people who can no longer stay in their space.

Think about your skill set, and what you can do, it doesn't have to be organizing a whole march, starting an organization, or donating a huge amount of money to be helpful.

Please share ways to help or organizations that are helping, this is a good place to put your ideas.

@RickiTarr Saul Alinsky wrote a good general guide and you have hit the key points.

Here are some suggestions applicable to where I live: Volunteer at the local library. Mine runs literacy programs and tax help and some advocacy. Likewise our Senior Center relies on volunteers. Second Harvest is active here. A neighbor has set up a Little Free Pantry you can donate food to.

@RickiTarr California has a program that is called CERT (community emergency response team) in my neighborhood. It is a good way to build community.

My city supports block parties. Organize one to meet neighbors. The city also has a number of guidance committees that need volunteers. It’s a good way to get involved.
