   @pfefferle Hi Matthias! I noticed that, when ActivityPub plugin is enabled, replies in the fediverse show up in posts' comments even when they are closed for comments. Is this the intended behavior?

     @manualdousuario it is, but you can deactivate reactions from the fediverse with a const: https://github.com/Automattic/wordpress-activitypub?tab=readme-ov-file#constants

     simply add `define( 'ACTIVITYPUB_DISABLE_INCOMING_INTERACTIONS', true );` to your wp-config.

     @manualdousuario the reason behind that is, that quite some users want to deactivate local comments and fully rely on the fediverse.

     maybe we will add a setting to deactivate it per post in the future.

     @pfefferle oh, I see, but I mean if fediverse interactions shouldn't follow local comments setting — if I close a post for new comments, AP plugin should abide to it and disable incoming comments from fediverse in that post only

     @manualdousuario but how can I get sure with what intention you disable comments!?! I think it is not a good idea to mix these two settings up! We experienced that the hard way with the Webmentions plugin, where we did that.

     I would prefer to add a dedicated setting for enabling/disabling incoming reactions on a per post basis.

     Can you maybe file an issue, describing your problem/usecase?
