(that's just one of many, there's med twitter, the patient communities on twitter and facebook, non-tech queer communities, immigrant and marginalized communities outside of the US, again both FB and Twitter, i could go on. It's *infrastructure* it's always political, but also never straightforwardly political.

     @xerz the thing that drives me absolutely wild about this is that masto is full of people who don't realize that most of the world still don't know what a webpage is specifically. they're not making musk powerful, they're just one more thing he's exploiting, like the rest of the social media bosses. it's just rampant victim blaming.
