     @johnwilsonwsws The current iteration of Dems are useless. We will need to build a new party. Keep the good, solid progressives who will fight for us. The rest were never really on our side as far as I can tell. Too weak, too compromised, too corrupt. Seeing them grovel just cements it

     Harris said that she had called Trump and congratulated him on his victory in the November 5 election. ... She made no reference to previous statements that Trump was a fascist and a threat to the democratic rights of the American people.

     Biden’s statement Thursday was even more cowardly. He went on national television, not to warn the American people about the dangers of dictatorship, but to extend a welcome to his fascist successor.

     @johnwilsonwsws Anyone calling themselves a "progressive" needs to be ready to take on the excesses and failings of capitalism and formulate policies that will benefit the majority of their constituents rather than catering constantly to the interests of the wealthy (and the morbidly, obscenely rich). It has always been about money and fundamental fairness and decency. We also need a mighty communications aparatus to counter the 24/7/365 reactionary lie machine. Much work to do.

     @br00t4c The Dems don't seem to be useless for the capitalist class. Organizing a peaceful transition to a fascist president isn't easy.

     Do you see the new party of which you speak?

     What are "solid progressives"? What are their principles? Is it okay if they think capitalism can be reformed? Is that at all realistic?

     Big questions but we are in a big crisis.
