   🧵 1/ I have not talked about it at all here but I had a second cancer this year, breast cancer. (I have had treatment and it will be fine.)

   There's a time period in cancer where you know you have it but you don't know how much surgery or treatment you're going to need. It's nothing but uncertainty and worry and fear. It’s a bad time. But once the treatment plan starts happening everything feels a lot better because there is ONE path forward even if it is a hard path.

     @lemay The uncertainty is the worst part. (I haven't had cancer, but family members have been through it: right now I'm in the same place, only with a condition where the worst case outcome is blindness, not death. It's not great, either way.)
