Minor #phanpy feature request, @cheeaun --> ability to set up different UX colors themes for different profiles, so that visually we can tell at a glance which of the multiple profiles I'm using at a glance?

Tim Chambers (tchambers@indieweb.social)'s status on Saturday, 09-Nov-2024 10:23:06 JST Tim Chambers @cheeaun I do think about how Google Chrome handles different multi-colored "profile specific" color themes to help you distinguish as to which of the profiles you are browsing as by which colors each UX is for each profile.

Chee Aun 🤔 (cheeaun@mastodon.social)'s status on Saturday, 09-Nov-2024 10:45:44 JST Chee Aun 🤔 @tchambers I see, theme/accent color assigned to specific profiles — imo, colors are always challenging as I embrace more color usage in the UI instead of single-color UI's which may conflict with warning/error states.
As for "tell at a glance", do you mean you keep switching profiles, or open multiple profiles in different tabs/windows/apps? It could get complicated as in showing posts from multiple profiles on multi-column UI (Phanpy doesn't do this, @statuzer does).

Tim Chambers (tchambers@indieweb.social)'s status on Saturday, 09-Nov-2024 10:45:44 JST Tim Chambers @cheeaun @statuzer Hmmmm. With a bit more thought, my particular use case is only two seperate accounts. Even being able to go to settings and choose "light" or "dark" themes - one for each profile, would make it easier to not mistake which one I'm in at the time.

Chee Aun 🤔 (cheeaun@mastodon.social)'s status on Sunday, 10-Nov-2024 00:48:59 JST Chee Aun 🤔 @tchambers oh that's app-level setting instead of account-specific 🙈. It's possible to make it that way but still a hack.
I prefer to know the details on how the mistake could be made (when composing or liking a post?). It's tough to cover all mistakes (e.g. some folks manage to accidentally delete their repo & now you need a type-to-confirm prompt dialog 😂). IMO if the mistake is not destructive, it can still be undo-ed.

Roelant (EN) (roelant@eu.mastodon.green)'s status on Sunday, 10-Nov-2024 00:48:59 JST Roelant (EN) @cheeaun @tchambers it’s also easily preventable by having a different profile picture by account (even if only slgihtly). That’s how I solved it at least. 😋
