     @rodlux I'm not a pacifist, I'm trying to better understand the varying position EU citizens have which so far appears quite diverse

     From your post, I understood it as you see national coalitions forming, do you think this is leading to war?

     How do you feel about the idea of the US trying to negotiate with Russia, using the nuclear weapons stored in Turkey, and possibly even other places as bargaining chips to negotiate peace, get Ukrainian territory?

     Highly unlikely, but a plan for not-war

     @ekis no, war is avoidable, but as we have seen war is good for certain economies, at least in the short term. It also makes their leaders look strong.

     @rodlux What? If they couldn't negotiate with Russia then how did all the prisoner exchanges happen? What about the US/Russia prisoner swap where we gave them back fucking Viktor Boot

     The US has been the biggest problem when it comes to getting the negotiating table because our plan is myopic at best

     @ekis the problem is you cannot negotiate with Russia. For sure they will hold back for a while. But then as with Crimea (part of Ukraine) they will come back for more (rest of Ukraine). In Poland post WW2 the Russians went around raping people in front of other family members. Their mindset of controlling through violence is the key here. Add to that the feeling of having lost parts of the USSR. They feel they have a right to kill and rape. It is in their blood.

     Its racist, naive, and just simply isn't reality

     Its myth making for the purpose of demonizing the enemy

     Thinking people are evil because of their race, nationality, or even location of birth is simply childish
