Conversation

It's a new day and I refuse to let yesterday kill the things that are the most important to me.

My joy.
My peace.
My kindness.
My compassion.

None of these thrive in misery. I will feed them and care for them and watch them grow DESPITE those who would see me dragged into the gutters with them.

I will persist.
