   The Democratic Party's fundamental problem is ultimately that the people they WANT to vote for them, are not going to vote for them, and the people who WOULD vote for them, want them to be significantly left of neoliberal Reaganism that got B.Clinton over.

   And they alternate back and forth in every election since 2000, with "pretending to agree with our base" and "telling our base to shut up and get in line."

   There's no fixing this without washing out the CONSERVATIVE LEADERSHIP of the party.

     As I've said 100 times before YOU DON'T WIN ELECTIONS BY APPEALING TO THE MIDDLE. YOU WIN ELECTIONS BY GETTING YOUR BASE EXCITED TO VOTE.

     The Democratic Party's fundamental problem is the institutional problem of a "democracy" perverted by privatization & monetization. Billionaires, millionaires, & right-wing interest groups can now outright buy politicians & media to propagandize for their personal profits; & the Democrats want to tap into all that cash for themselves. That's why they are casting off New Deal liberalism & embracing their inner racists. They are, in effect, gentrifying their voting base.

     It's gonna take a hell of a lot more than just overthrowing the DNC leadership for progressives to regain & extend power, because, as what happened in Nevada when Sanders Democrats briefly took over the Nevada Democratic Party apparatus, the ConservaDem faction can merely sit on their hands, wait patiently for Republicans to come in & blow out the progressives, and then merrily return to their seats of power as if nothing happened.

     Indy Left is the only real solution.

     @AnarchoNinaWrites democrats are Republicans, and Republicans are fascists. Both are more interested in personal wealth than helping people.
