   A big part of me wanted to just stay in bed this morning. I forced myself to get up, get dressed, and go out and run errands and be around other people for a bit. It wasn't a magical fix, but it did help. It reminded me that as horribly flawed as things are, there's also a community out there.

     @mattblaze I wanted to stay in bed too but when I got up anyway and stepped out to get the newspaper, this little lady was waiting for me and suddenly decided I was no longer scary and I should rub her belly. So it was actually a pretty good day, overall.
