I mean, isn't it obvious? Anarchism is known for ethno-nationalism, repression of direct democracy and authoritarianism, duh. Read a book sometimes.

Please cite an example of anarchism succeeding and leading to something good. By any criterion..

      I already explained...

Anarchists hate *any* government, including democratic ones. Thus, when the fascists attack democracy, the anarchists will just shrug, and won't lift a finger to save it. Maybe even jiggle, "that is what those corrupt tyrants deserved".

That is why fascists welcome the spread of anarchism. And they know that anarchists will never be a threat to them, because, by definition, anarchists can't mount an organized resistance.

      Isn't that so?

I'm sorry, but what are we discussing now? You're claiming anarchism - which is the absence of government and coercive hierarchies, mind you - is used by people trying to build a coercive government.

without realising that the core of anarchism is not allowing said coercive hierarchies to emerge in the first place. I'm not going to like, educate you on anarchist 101, man. you're not a toddler.

And I bet that I understand anarchism better than you do. Anarchism in Italy historically has been a respectable ideology, because they were among the originators of the movement for the unification of the country, in the early 1800s. (Needless to say, they were pushed aside once the unification was over, as the other players set up a monarchy.) So there have been many notable Italian anarchists, as well as "anarchists" who were actually communists. 🧵>

🧵> And so I have read many tales of supposedly successful anarchic communities -- which in fact were either short-lived, or not anarchic at all.

Like those tales of bushmen and aborigines solving all conflicts with nice words etc. If anything, those tales prove the opposite: that, even in those barren environments where the tribes are basically families sparsely scattered, there are rules, chiefs, constraints. Ultimately enforced by force.🧵>

🧵> And I have followed for many years the latest brand of anarchists, the cypherpunks -- who dream to build a "free" society on the internet through cryptography.

I once had some sympathy for them, as they claimed to be fighting for freedom of speech and copy, gov/corp transparency etc. But eventually I found that the only "freedom" they cared about was the freedom to buy illegal drugs and CP through the internet without the cops finding out...

imagine writing so much stuff and like, not fact-checking it and even coming out as racist in the meantime.

wow! look, I'm sorry for being hostile. I don't think you're a bad person or anything, you just don't understand us. that's alright. you don't have to. but please redirect your effort in converting people somewhere else, you're not really fighting the real enemy here
