You can't be pro-war, and be against climate change

They are fundamentally incompatible, they are mutually exclusive

Well, maybe a guerilla war against oil companies could be, but I don't see anyone proposing that anywhere

@ideogram I don't know the book didn't get enough into the actual details of blowing up a pipeline, more just the justifications. I like it though, good read

But it never advances the idea of guerilla war, and I'm definitely not suggesting that should happen, or even saying it never gets said as a way to say it without saying it. I would never say that

There is literally a book called 'How to blow up a pipeline' that espouses that idea. They even turned it into an action film!

How to Blow Up a Pipeline
How to Blow Up a Pipeline: Learning to Fight in a World on Fire is a nonfiction book written by Andreas Malm and published in 2021 by Verso Books. In the book, Malm argues that sabotage is a logical form of climate activism, and criticizes both pacifism within the climate movement and "climate fatalism" outside it. The book inspired a film of the same name. Andreas Malm, a lecturer in human ecology at Lund University, wrote several other books on related subjects before his release of How to Blow Up a Pipeline. Prior to events in 2018 and 2019 including Fridays For Future and climate protest camps in Europe, the book was planned to be an argument that there was a lack of climate activism. These events caused the argument to become a critique of nonviolence and pacifism in the climate activist movement, and an argument for sabotage as a logical form of climate activism. The book received both positive and negative reviews in various publications. Background Before the release of How to Blow Up a Pipeline, author Andreas Malm had written several other books related to political...

Indeed, the title is a bit misleading but it makes a strong case for non lethal destruction of fossil fuel infrastructure. I can't imagine a book or anyone calling for guerrilla war against deadly industries would get published, or not get a visit from their local branch of the anti terror security force.
