   From a friend working the polls in Chicago:

   "I’ve been the Election Coordinator in a north side precinct for a decade. Almost 20 elections. I have never seen an Election Day turnout anywhere *close* to this. We had a line of 30 people when we opened the polls at 6:00am. That is unprecedented. We’ve had a continuous 2-hour line since then. Also unprecedented.
   THIS IS NUTS!! IN THE BEST WAY!!”

     @WarnerCrocker New voters and higher turnout used to mean an advantage for the democrats. However, for some reason I can't grok new voters and new turn out also happened in 2020 to support trump.

     @delolzer Actually the observation about the turnout did, the assumptive reaction to it failed. Looking at the vote count in those areas of town Trump won more in that precint than anyone could have imagined before yesterday.
