   I would like to have a project (personal or otherwise) where a reasonable choice of language would be one of:

   • Fortran
   • Elixir
   • COBOL
   • Ada

   Out of these, Elixir seems to be the most likely. But I really would like a reason to actually learn Fortran or Ada.

     @loke would like to mention that ada has a reasonably OK web server and postgres adapter (Ada Web Server, gnatcoll-db). You can see how a web project in ada looks here https://github.com/vaartis/hellish/tree/master/src/hellish_web
     
     It's not elixir, but it is interesting nonetheless
