So we all know about structural inequalities and barriers preventing people from the #GlobalSouth accessing resources for #ClimateAction, so much so that both your flight and your hotel can be cancelled last minute by your "sponsor", locking you out of #COP29 - a barrier that has just hit Maryam Jamali

Maryam, is being denied a voice at #COP29, her sponsors have withdrawn both her flight and hotel barely a week before the conference.
She was literally on the ground saving her people during the catastrophic #floods of 2022, helped them rebuild after, and is at the forefront of fighting for #CimateAction for her them.

Maryam is an indigenous Climate Activist from Balochistan, #Pakistan 's least developed region
During the mega #floods of 2022 when a third of the country went under water displacing millions, Maryam was instrumental in organizing relief efforts for her people: from evacuating families to delivering aid
and once the waters passed, she even helped rebuild homes for thousands
