#writersCoffeeClub 11/4: Do you find your writing skills or writer's instinct useful in other walks of life?

My incredible attention to detail, developed while I was a copyeditor (academic writing was my specialty), is very useful in my normal career of code monkey.

My "writer's instincts" also ruin most books and tv shows for me unless I make a real effort to get lost in them. The "I wouldn't have approached it that way" doesn't necessarily turn off.
