     @joannaholman @seachanger I'm kinda disappointed when folks frame it as misfortune. It's quite a cultural phenomenon, and part of a larger phenomenon of the next generation's culture being shaped by things that go viral from a single creator or small group of creators rather than corporate manufacture. That really wasn't a thing in previous under-10yo groups AFAICT. There also seem to be interesting demographic lines around which kids are in on this sort of culture.
