   Only, Orban was more strategic than Trump, he did not want a quick win.

   He deliberately crafted his strategy to keep the discredited PM in power for four more years, so that in the end in 2010 he could - and did - take power with a very large majority.

   Oh, and also his election message before 2010 was a “blank cheque”. No manifesto of promises, nothing beyond “trust us”.

   Do not confuse any potential 2nd Trump term with his first one.

     Ok it’s late here on Sunday, so let's talk about Viktor Orban.

     Specifically, his second term.

     What second term? You might be surprised to learn that he did not launch his dictatorship the first time he came into power in 1998.

     No, him narrowly losing in 2002 and then spending the next 4 years seething with resentment produced his system.

     In 2006 a russian-leaked recording of then-PM Gyurcsany basically toppled the government.

     Mr. Bill repeated this.
