   No amount of hard work will convince some people that you’re worthy of their respect. They have made up their minds long ago

   You know what? I refused to play this game! Does that mean I’ve suffered professionally? Yes I did! But I didn’t want to compromise my mental health or whatever shred of self-respect I had for myself

     When I wanted to continue in a PhD program after my master’s, I was told that I’m not dedicated enough for that life. Only because I’d go home at 5 pm everyday to have dinner with my husband. What my professor didn’t see that I came back to the campus around 8 pm and worked until midnight.

     Women get pushed out of STEM profession over and over and over again. It’s not a myth; it’s a lived experience for a lot of us.
