   The only alternative is Trump, who isn't even a perceived leftist but is, in fact, very right-wing. The only two people who will become president is either a person who is extremely right-wing and might become a fascist dictator (Trump), or someone who is more left-leaning than the other but isn't a leftist, but is only precieved as a leftist by some, and who likely won't become a fascist dictator (Harris). Out of the two options, Harris is the better option for leftists.

     America is currently not a fascist dictatorship. Fascism is on the rise in America, and it will have a greater chance of coming to power if Trump becomes president. To reiterate, there are only two options for who will become president (Trump and Harris), my interest is the continuation of leftist organization and education, and this continuation will flourish better under a Harris administration than a Trump administration. Voting for Harris is better for leftists.

     I'm not exactly sure what your overall point is. We're clearly in disagreement over the definition of a fascist dictatorship, but what was your original reason for even suggesting that America is fascist when the topic was on who to vote for in the 2024 election? Are you suggesting that voting doesn't matter?

     We all live in a capital dictatorship, but there's a range of different regimes that fit into that definition.
     And USA, with its fake elections, its fascist police, its incredibly high convicted population (literally legal slavery), its genocide on poor people... It's closer to a fascist dictatorship than we (in Spain) are. And we are close enough.

     If you're trying to say that Trump being elected in 2016 was a good thing and that him being elected again in 2024 will also be a good thing then you've completely lost my interest in your proposal. I'm not into accelerationist politics.

     @Radical_EgoCom Yes, I'm suggesting that. You have had a uniparty for a long, long time. Someone could argue that Trump changed that. And you see him as a negative change. I see him like a wildcard. And a franker enemy.

     It is undeniable that the openly far-right wing Trump administration would be more of an inconvenience to the American left than the fake left, but slightly less right-wing, administration of Harris. I'm thinking pragmatically. We realistically only have two options, and the American left will have a slightly less difficult time organizing with Harris as president.

     The political class exists to shepherd bourgeois policy and its imperialist agendas alone. They need voters to legitimize the facade and so the right wing party stokes fear of immigrants and minorities to motivate their base whilst the left Stokes fascist fears and culture war promises, all the while conveniently ignoring the fascist policy and law of their own party.
     
     Obama immediately abandoned his promise of gay marriage and instead began the Yemen drone warfare campaign.
     
     Trump immediately forgot about the wall and stoked wealth redistribution to the rich with tax cuts, and trade war with china.
     
     Kamala will be no different. The fascism of imperialist capitalism is the only undeniable truth of the vote.

     Yeah, this is accelerationist politics, which I've already said I'm not interested in. This strategy doesn't take into consideration the millions of workers who will be incontinenced or worse from a Trump presidency, which would, in turn, incontinence or completely set back the already very small leftist presence in America. Harris will likely also inconvenience workers, but to a lesser extent than Trump.

     @Radical_EgoCom Things are not that simple. I believe Trump's election in 2016 was not in the script. There was a conflict inside the establishment. And that probably was the causue for no new wars being started.
     As for 2024, I think that conflict is probably settled, but that doesn't make Kamala as a good option. She is the establishment favorite, as was Biden and Clinton before her.
     You're choosing among two very bad options.
     So, the conditions to participate in an election, from a marxist perspective, are far far from being fulfilled. They actually are, even from a liberal perspective.

     @Radical_EgoCom Fascism morphs over time and looks different in every country. American fascism in 2024 will not look like Germany or Italy or Chile.

     Fact is that fascists have taken over the major western democracies. I'm with El Metabarón on this.
