     @quixoticgeek Let me guess: they're running a reduced Sunday schedule because they think it's the Lord's Day and everybody should be in Church so nobody travels then, right?

     @quixoticgeek That's an intense route! (Similar size/frequency to the Edinburgh/Glasgow shuttles at rush hour.) Sounds like there might be a capacity problem on that route? Getting people off and then on a 9-car train running that frequently must mean a permanently packed platform …

     @cstross no. The trains are every 15 minutes. And 9 cars long. They literally just don't run enough trains.
