Besides, personal verification will be an issue on every platform, until it is solved.

Current Mastodon verification is just proving you own a website, but just because Bob owns CoolShrimp.com doesn't mean he's verifiable.
This is where Twitter's Verification shined (sort of); notable people could prove who they say they were and got verification. And when you can have shared usernames across the Fediverse, you need some way to verify the official ones from the unofficial.
