I saw two high school aged competitive cheerleaders at the store with their parents and one of the girls was crying and said her foot hurt. Her mom snapped around and told her to quit crying. It took all my willpower not to lay into her about how dangerous cheer is and the awful injuries ive seen in my time working at a college that has competitive cheerleaders. It is such a dangerous sport with high numbers of joint injuries and concussions. So no, she shouldn’t quit crying, she’s injured.
