COVID should have taught us but didn't that global supply chains are vulnerable to disasters, whether disease or weather, which will both become more common with climate change so we should be investing more in local small scale food production. Instead we have situations where small local producers like Down Farm https://www.instagram.com/downfarmwinkleigh? which used to supply our weekly veg box are going out of business because they can't make producing fresh food locally financially viable.
