yes excellent what if you pretend the trolley lever isn't there and refuse to use it and instead fervently hope that someday someone will implement a carbon neutral/negative public funded multi-modal transit system that achieves vision zero great job
It's a Kobayashi Maru. There is no winning here, there is no outcome where everyone gets saved.
It's an exercise and a test for what you do when you can't win and no matter what you do, unconscionable things will keep happening to differing degrees.
I will stipulate that not choosing is also a decision. I also think it's a grossly irresponsible, privileged, and selfish one. I also accept that feeling you have to choose is indeed not a choice and one where having to choose is excruciatingly emotionally, mentally, physically painful.
