with denuvo, once their ticket validation server goes down every denuvo game will stop functioning and some of these studios don't exist anymore -

in a way, EAC being as widespread as it is, because it's easy to implement gives a lot of malicious actors enough data to break the system.
some obscurity is needed for sufficient security, after all you don't go announcing your private keys. -
