Proprietary headlights and proprietary rims are the most blatantly and obvious evil shit these disgusting car companies do nowadays, and the immense majority of people don't see it.
Every time I see some normiefag praising a new car I ask them a question, how would you replace a rim with a flat tire on these fucking cars with absolutely proprietary and non-standard rims a if you're stuck in the middle of nowhere? And that's if you even have a spare tire at all in the first place.

I'm actually checking old Tesla model rims that have one of those retarded plastic covers, the rim itself looks way better without this piece of chinesium attached to it, Teslatards have absolutely dogshit taste.

You can't replace them even if you have the tools because it's all built onto the chinesium bumper that is absolutely proprietary and specific to the car model, and these spare replacements aren't sold by the company, so you need to find replacements from used cars.
It's the same kind of shit Crapple does on their dogshit hardware, but on cars, and it keeps spreading on everything, it's only a matter of time until most brands do not follow rim standards as well as it's obvious they're trying to ruin that with all this faggot rim designs, exactly like it happened with headlights last century.

> lug patterns are standard
Yeah the standard exists, the problem is that nobody enforces it, and car brands keep defiling and ruining every standard that has existed via lobbying or just giving zero fucks about it and doing whatever they want.
I know I've seen modern cars out there that do not have neither standard lug patterns nor standard bolts so replacing those wheels on the wild is impossible, exactly the same as with headlights.

@jihadjimmy @meso the issue is have is it is not a law that light bulbs must be able to be replaced without tools. Every bulb on both my cars can be replaced without any tools at all

@jihadjimmy @meso lug patterns are standard. A lot of companies share lug patterns. Almost every 4 lug car is 4x100 for example

@jihadjimmy @meso >proprietary rim
What does this even mean?
Volvo has used the 5x108 lug pattern for like 80 years

I'm talking about new cars not fucking Volvos specifically, Hyundai for one I know has these ugly design rims that look like fucking hell to even remove, and I can bet a standard good ol' rim doesn't fit in there.
