@JustOneMoreThing I actually have zero! (All our media stuff is just through computers, no TVs or stereos). Which is good, because if I had any remotes they would be lost all the freaking time.

all of the ceiling fans + light are controlled by a remote. then there are the media stuff ones that are rarely used (usually I control them via ssh. because.) a number of odd remotes from random things some of which no longer exist (I know the location of at least 3). This already goes into 10-20 range.
I guess that the couple packages of IR LEDs bought to interface arduinos with the remote controlled things (planned, among 10000 other things) don't really count as a remote until I actually do it? otherwise it's way over 20.
Of which 4 are in routine use, and they are all interchangeable, so it's basically just one.
