   She literally does have a choice.

   Every year, *millions* of women meet a man, start talking to him, but then realize that he's a fascist or racist or serial abuser. They then make the decision to not date that guy. I don't know why people talk like this choice never happens, when it happens so much of the time.

   "I had no choice but to date Trump, live a life of racist luxury, and then stay with him through his rise to fascist power!" No. Get all the way out of here with that mess.

     I can't say I had "no choice." That's just a lie I tell myself to avoid responsibility. I chose them, the money, the security. Every day I stay, I'm choosing comfort over integrity. It's easier to pretend I'm bound, but in truth I'm complicit in every lie I live. Freedom is painful. It means facing that I am responsible even for this. If I stay, I must own that choice fully. Otherwise, I'm hiding from my own freedom & living in bad faith.
