     I don't think it matters honestly. You'll find guidelines and rules all over Wikipedia that have turned it into the perfect propaganda machine. And they keep asking for donations while they have more than enough to run for decades, and spend all their excess on insane political causes. I wrote this a while back:

     The site is insanely biased. I always read the talk page first and always compare the article to how it looked 10 and 15 years ago. Even Larry Sanger is saddened by what Wikipedia has become.

     @djsumdog on the top of the page you will see that it just the opinion of a contributer, and not representative of Wikipedia's view. So, take that with a grain of salt :)
