   Ok. I’m going through one of those moments of anger and fear over the state of the country. These feelings are washing over me. Rather than let them paralyze me, I’m at least going to write about them here because I know I’m not the only one who periodically feels this way. 1/

     When the country’s largest political, legal, and cultural institutions are directly or indirectly threatening the safety of millions of Americans and undermining U.S. constitutional democracy, of course I’m scared and outraged. To be anything but would require willful blindness, a refusal to recognize the reality of the situation. 2/
