One wonders if there is still a free press in America
(Bezos faces criticism after executives met with Trump on day of Post’s non-endorsement, 27 October).

With a convicted felon running to be president and threatening all who oppose him with retribution,
it is frightening to see the number of media outlets that appear too scared to express an opinion.

Everybody who values freedom of expression should oppose Donald Trump,
regardless of either candidate’s policies.

Call me a cynic, but Bertrand Russell sums it up well:
“The Stoic ethic suited the times of Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius, because its gospel was one of endurance rather than hope.”
