@sun @Wormwood it makes sense. there's plenty of places that cater to clueless foreigners in kyoto, no need to make things harder for everyone involved.

@lain @Wormwood @sun Yeah I don't really get the idea that every single eatery must tolerate and accommodate functionally illiterate customers. Like yeah if they're smack bang in the middle of a main street in a designated tourist hotspot there might be a case for it, but harassing izakayas on secluded backstreets for not wanting to deal with irregulars just seems mean-spirited.
