Europe’s achievements ride on rails.

Over the last 25 years, we have strengthened rail transport by improving interoperability, reinforcing safety, & developing rail infrastructure.

Our initiatives dedicated to trains include the:

🇪🇺 10 EU pilot projects to boost cross-border rail, including night trains;
🚄 trans-European transport network that requires trains travelling at speeds of at least 160 km/h by 2040;
👩 Women in Rail Award, recognising vital contributions of women in the rail sector.
