   @jima @alyx I had a wonderful situation where I had users in one country able to get jumbo frames to AWS, and the across the border, no jumbo frames to AWS. This lead to a giant argument about how to speed up traffic, because we needed different solutions in different countries.

   And despite that, I was getting jumbo frames from Columbia to US-East-2 and it was wild!

     @alyx @jima My understanding is S3 accepts them, which is the service I was using

     @silverwizard @jima AWS doesn't do jumbo frames for anything internet related either.

     [...] However, traffic is limited to a maximum MTU of 1500 in the following cases:

     Traffic over an internet gateway

     Traffic over an inter-region VPC peering connection

     Traffic over VPN connections

     Traffic between AWS Regions, unless a transit gateway is used

     If packets are over 1500 bytes, they are fragmented, or they are dropped if the Don't Fragment flag is set in the IP header.
